Oh, for countless nights
Under flickering lights
With shaking hand I write
Hope someone will find
This note on what I saw
The things, they squirm and gnaw
Gnaw at the wall of sleep
Hope that wall would keep
Keep them at bay
Alert I must stay
Oh, beyond the wall a tide of nightmares wait
And push against my mind, I feel their immense weight
Clawing, gnawing still, into our dreams they spill
Through tiny cracks they made, what will befall us if I break?
Once, there were many more people like me
Standing atop the wall, facing calamity
Lucid dreaming, keeping them back...
But now it's only me
Alone, how long I can
Keep back the hungering tide?
So now, pleading I write
Release me from this plight
Oh, beyond the wall a tide of nightmares wait
And push against my mind, I feel their immense weight
Clawing, gnawing still, into our dreams they spill
Through tiny cracks they made, what will befall us if I break?
Could I keep them at bay?
Sane I must stay
Oh, beyond the wall a tide of nightmares wait
And push against my mind, I feel their immense weight
Clawing, gnawing still, into our dreams they spill
Through tiny cracks they made, what will befall us if I break?
I feel my mind dissipate, the firmament shakes
I close my eyes, letting go, now it's too late...
I really cant pick a favorite track, this whole album kicks so much ass with its intensity and ferocity from beginning to end. Definitely a new favorite artist. Really gives off Necrophobic vibes with the melodies and atmosphere. Andrés Salas
Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74
